Calling all Fashion experts/designers and people who like Film Costume & Film Premiere Fashion?

I know this is gonna sound a little odd, but here goes:

I need help with a few Film Costumes, or rather, I need to find out what material some of these costumes are made from and what some of the items are called - I mean, come on, as if I’m gonna know? Lol!

Ok, so the 1st item was worn by Eva Green to the World Premiere of “Casino Royale” in Leicester Square, London, 2006. It caused quite a stir on the Red Carpet @ the time as it was so unusual, but I need to know the MATERIAL this dress is made from - I know its either satin or velvet, but I don’t know which. Also, if Fashion is your thing, do you think this dress would look good LAYERED; WITHOUT Bthe white frill imprint and with blood red streaks slashed up it’s side? Here is the link:

2nd is from the smash hit Disney film “101 Dalmatians” (1996). In the Film, Glen Close (aka. Cruella DeVil) wore these gloves which had fake, black nails sewn onto their fingertips and they looked like they were carved from some sort of bone. Could anyone tell me what these nails/gloves are called and whether I’m using the correct language to describe them? Here’s the link:
